I do want to call out early on in the episode that Paddle Princess brought the costume. actually won costume on day one.

Yes, very 80s, very Madonna. No.

But not like a virgin!

Speaker 1 (00:16.238)
Thanks. Thanks for bringing that into the podcast.

This is Big Dink Energy, the pickleball podcast that's half insight, half nonsense, and all entertainment. If you love pickleball, don't take yourself too seriously and think a little trash talk makes the game better, welcome home. This is the place where life and pickleball intersect. We celebrate the chaos, call out the nonsense, and put the fun back in dysfunction. You're either in or you're out. And if you're still listening, you're in. So let's go.

Big Dink Energy starts now. does. Always good with a joke, a toke or a smoke. Known for coming up on the down stroke. That's the Big Dink Energy podcast. Hey. Yeah, that's us. Now, listen, this episode is sponsored by Blue Balls. Their Extreme 40s are consistent, durable and made for real gameplay, just like they should be. Not garage sessions, no, no. Coaches rely on them, clubs stock them and their bulk packs. Well, they make it easy to get a lot of balls, number one. And they make it easy to stay ready for every

match. And now listen up. They're bringing that same quality to their new paddle line. Balanced, responsive, and designed for players who like to look as good as I do. Well, they also want control with your power to spare. Check them out at BlueBalls.com. That's B-L-O-O-B-A-L-L-Z-E-Z.com. BlueBalls.com. Reliable, relentless, BlueBalls.

I don't think we should

Speaker 2 (01:44.098)
They don't have to pay extra for that. the jingle? yeah. Get your balls, get your balls. Listen, I am excited because we just played in a tournament. Now this is my second tournament. Yeah. So I thought we would kick that around the room a little bit. You know, the highs, the lows, the good, the bad, the ugly. My play in general is what I'm talking about there. But yeah, so what was the name of the tournament? Monster Mash. He did the mash.

Okay.

Speaker 4 (02:09.87)
Monster Mash.

He did the monster mash.

Alright, and I do want to call out early on in the episode that Paddle Princess brought the costume. actually won costume on day one.

Yes, she looked very 80s, shall I say. Very Madonna. It was fun.

But not like a virgin.

Speaker 4 (02:30.57)
No.

She got two kids, that's how we know.

Thanks for bringing that in.

I don't want people to guess how I knew.

Yeah, it was three days. So on the first day was like the singles, not like we played singles, because Lord knows I do not do that. It was like a single scramble. Yes. Which is super fun. We play with everybody. Everybody plays against each other as well. And then from there, you get scored based off the differential of points and how many games you've won. And then the second day we did women's doubles. And then on the third day we did mixed doubles. So it was three days long and it was...

Speaker 4 (03:11.728)
So much fun.

was a lot of fun.

I had a good time. loved it. You guys, I mean, you played a lot before I got there. Well, I had to, I was at work and then I had to rush from work to get there and change.

But you did pretty well, I was impressed. I did learn a lot. I learned that... That I should let, when you're on the left, I should let you get more balls than I allow you to get.

I'm slow. Thank you.

Speaker 2 (03:36.782)
You're always chasing down the balls.

Yes, everybody in TikTok was telling me, that is not your ball. That's not your ball. So I've learned to do that. However, communication, communication was tough for us at least. My women's double partner, I met that day because my sister- you met the before. The day before, yes. She played in the single scramble, but when we played, because my sister was hurt herself. My sister hurt herself and so I had to get a new partner, but.

She was amazing. She was good. Yeah. Mishka. Mishka. Mishka, mushka. And we played really well and ended up getting silver. Yeah, y'all got silver. Yeah, we ended up getting silver. Silver. was awesome. And then the day before I got bronze in the singles and then on the mixed doubles. No, you got silver too. Did I? Mm-hmm.

Oscar.

Speaker 1 (04:26.168)
You got silver day one, silver day second.

We want to talk about day three when I had my husband as a partner. What place did we get?

I had a silver alert.

We got we got fourth and then we got four that's right princess and mr. Ricky got fifth. Yes, so

Shout out

Speaker 2 (04:47.767)
Ricky I love Rick. Yeah, don't sleep on Ricky y'all

So good. So we learned a lot. Mostly communication is what I really need to work on.

Yeah, I didn't know, you know, when you were like, well, you need to call it. And I thought, OK, well, I will. And then I didn't know that meant there's only one person calling balls. I didn't know in pickleball, you can't just call.

you can. You can. I'm saying. Because it's easier for me if I call if we're both calling and I say mine and you say yours, then what? So I feel like it may not be right. I don't know. But to me, if one person calls it like yours and mine, then.

Well you yelled at me so I wasn't

Speaker 2 (05:24.437)
you made it sound like it was a rule. No, it's just like baseball. If you call it, then everybody backs off. I don't say mine, and whoever calls it first, then the expectation

With that expectation, you did call it and then you just stood there. And that's why I yelled at you. If you name it, claim it. And everybody saw it. Well, you saw it.

One time, one-

Speaker 1 (05:47.867)
I'm not getting in the middle of this. No, no one saw that.

But nobody saw my backwards roll. It wasn't on camera. I went down and back extension rolled into a nice pretty squash.

She went down.

Speaker 1 (06:00.106)
So that my camera cut off. I'm just I'm just glad

Yeah, I was walking up towards the net and next thing I know I look around and you're on the ground. I'm like, what the heck just happened?

Yeah, I'm glad my muscle memory from gymnastics came back in because otherwise I would have been out. I didn't have time. It went fast. I went down and was up real fast.

You should have pressed up the handstand.

Speaker 2 (06:20.846)
Gravity is a lot faster the older you get.

and the heavier you are.

It was good. I really had a great time.

I know, I can't wait for our next one.

fantastic time and one reoccurring comment that I kept hearing from other people was that they were just having so much fun listening to us laugh. Yeah. Because we were just laughing and having a good time the entire tournament. You know, of course we were taking it seriously, but we weren't taking ourselves seriously. So if we whiffed it, we would just laugh and we would make fun of each other. And we just had a great time. I laughed so hard.

Speaker 4 (06:55.338)
Because we played against each other too. Right. So that's what made it even more fun. Yeah. And there are times where I get frustrated, but it's not at anybody. It's at myself. Right. So a couple four letter words like dang and shoot, which is a five letter word. it's just because I keep making the same mistakes, which is why I went to TikTok and I said, look, coach me in the comments, please, because I need some help. everybody, everybody showed up.

And I love it. I'm posting some more. have a crap ton of really bad. Some really bad shots. I'm like, what is going on here?

I need some advice too.

Speaker 2 (07:34.092)
Yeah, the comments were mainly like, hey, that's his ball, please.

But the one guy, I can't remember who it was, but he was like, tell your partner, get his hands off his knees and get the balls.

He can't. He's got to support his knees.

Yeah, mostly it was like your partner's slow, his hands are on his knees, he's not up where he needs to be, he's not getting his balls and so they're like, you just need a new partner.

I you what you can do with my balls.

Speaker 4 (08:05.678)
And so mostly that's what people were saying. They were like Stephanie, you are just great. You really need a new partner. should be moving up into the fours. Yeah. So I deleted those because I felt bad for you. So no one else is to be able to see them out there. My duper lies. Yeah. So steadily, it's so funny if you look at our duper accounts. Oh my gosh. It's like steadily declining.

Duper says different.

Speaker 2 (08:29.326)
But hey, Duper, shout out because the graph you use, it looks like we fell off a cliff. It was like a hundredth of a point. mean, calm down. Zoom out a little bit, bro.

So funny. Mine was a hundredth of a point and it like shot up like all the way and then all of a sudden it was like

It legit makes you feel terrible. Yeah, we just screenshot it and laugh. Yeah. So I'm steadily declining, but that's okay.

That's okay.

Speaker 2 (08:50.348)
No, no, no.

Send it to each other.

No, but I had a great time. Shout out to Heights Athletic Club for putting on a good tournament.

Yeah, and their food man. my gosh. They came in clutch

And Sabrina and her food breaks.

Speaker 4 (09:08.654)
She said time out straight up ate pizza. Paddle Princess and I were standing there like, is she eating?

Priorities.

And we were like in the middle of a 17 to 17 match that lasted 40 minutes good god it wouldn't end

Yeah, it was great. But yeah, mean, pizza, Subway, Canes, like they literally brought in. I loved it. And I think that tournaments that bring stuff like that is amazing.

Yeah, and you know, we don't want to miss saying how much improved Paddle Princess has been. Thank you.

Speaker 1 (09:43.372)
Thank you.

She took a couple lessons and wow. Like wow. Because normally if I hit the ball to her, I know it's not coming back at all to me. And hit it. Yeah, usually to the parking lot. But man, she's got some returns and some drives and her serves are improving. Thank you. Like so awesome.

Super day of giving out the lessons.

Speaker 1 (09:56.274)
It's somewhere.

Speaker 1 (10:07.352)
So yeah, I was pretty proud of my serves because I was pretty nervous about them and going in. I think each day total out of like with the eight games we played each day, I missed like four serves each day, which is a huge improvement for me because typically it's like I might get two in in eight games. So I was pretty proud. So thanks for that.

I did. Yes, she did. And women's double. She took bronze. Yes, there was more than three. And that was her first one.

yes.

Way to be humble. there were more than three.

More than three.

Speaker 1 (10:42.094)
That was the first time ever placing anywhere close.

So you now have a bronze medal. Yes. I have a bronze and three silvers. Yes. And let's ask Guy. Guy?

I have? Yeah. I have two witches sitting across me. That's what I have.

He has nothing but a low duper sword.

Carrier medals.

Speaker 2 (11:04.099)
Shout out to the real hero, Epsom Salt. so true. Come sponsor us Epsom Salt.

That is so true. Come on.

Speaker 4 (11:11.926)
my god.

you that since all that i used friday night and saturday night and sunday night not gonna lie

Yeah, it was like frankincense, eucalyptus, everything Epsom salt, was like.

Yes, everything.

I would have thrown some frankenberry in there.

Speaker 2 (11:28.782)
It is the season.

lord, we got some fan mail? Yeah, yeah

Yeah, yeah, yeah. But before that...

Yay! What just happened?

Shout out to our Spanish listeners. Why are you guys laughing like that?

Speaker 2 (11:45.07)

Go follow her journey in Pickleball.

She's out there reviewing courts, covering events, and sharing real day in the life moments from the game we all love. She's an amazing human and one of our dinkin' dash game changers. If you want to know what that is, get up in the comments and ask us.

Yes, and I just watched a TikTok that she posted where she brought two of her coworkers. Yeah, I saw that too. she was teaching them how to play, but she was giving them like really good lessons on how to use your shoulder. And I took a lot out of that and I was like, OK, yeah, I love watching her TikTok.

Go follow, she's amazing. Just the tip. Just the tip. Quick pickleball wisdom in and out before you know it. This week, the paddle pause. After every shot, reset your paddle in front of you. It's your shield, your steering wheel, and your sanity when the chaos starts to hit. Just the tip.

Amazing.

Speaker 4 (13:12.59)
you

It's time for Pickle Pals!

Speaker 2 (13:19.982)
You know, I love this segment. Some people play pickleball, Van, she lives at Bionic Parts and all. She's had 13 surgeries, two knee replacements, a new hip and a shoulder rebuild, as if that's a little bit greedy on the surgeries. And she's still out here taking gold at PPA World Championships, repping the 3.0 Women's Doubles Division like a boss. She runs the awesome Pickleball Outreach Program in Waco, some people say Waco, Texas, where the mission is simple. Share the joy, grow the game and remind everyone that movement is

medicine. This isn't just a pickleball interview. It's a celebration of resilience, purpose, and the power of showing up. Van, thank you so much for being on the Big Dink Energy Podcast.

Thank you so much, Guy. This is wonderful. I'm so excited to be here.

So in Waco, I know from various people I've heard there is a small trade school there. Did you work at that trade school? I think people call it Baylor.

Yes, I did. For 23 years, I was the assistant director of wellness and got to play with the students and faculty and staff. It was just a wonderful, wonderful 23 years for sure.

Speaker 2 (14:26.434)
That's awesome. Yeah, just a tiny, tiny little campus y'all have out there. you call yourself the bionic woman and I think that's apropos. How did your body hold up through 13 surgeries and how do you come back stronger from that?

the biggest thing is I love to be competitive and fitness has been a part of my adult life. I played collegiate volleyball for four years and I coached volleyball for many, many years, 30 plus years. And everything I do depends on what I'm able to do physically. So to me, I challenge myself when I come off of surgery. As far as working out, I love working out. I love physical therapy. Not a lot of people enjoy that.

But I love going into the sessions. I love getting stronger and I love seeing my progression. So after every surgery, that's kind of what pushes me to be able to get back to where I was before. And now that I found pickleball, it is just the most fantastic and fascinating sport and I'm able to play competitively with all of my surgeries. And it's exciting to be able to do that.

So do you remember the first time you got back on the court after a major surgery and how that felt?

Well, recently and recently, last year, I had my hip replaced. And I remember when the doctor said, hey, you can go back slowly into pickleball. I had my replacement in December. I went back on the court in March and I competed in April. I wasn't 100 % of course, but just to be able to get back on the court and be able to move and be able to.

Speaker 3 (16:08.034)
to play pickleball, that just feels fabulous. And I just got stronger and stronger after every tournament. I stuck with my physical therapy routine and what was frustrating was playing pickleball, just to be able to control the ball. mean, that took me a while to get back to that pace, that competitive pace. But other than that, it felt really good to be on the court and to just be able to play pickleball again.

Yeah, that's awesome. obviously we've got to talk about this gold medal win. How did it feel standing on that podium after the surgeries that you've had?

Well, a lot of people, you I don't go around telling people I've had all these surgeries. So they don't know until they look closely at my knees and go, you have knee replacement? And then I say, yeah. And then my partner would say, yeah. And a few months ago, she had a hip replacement. So personally, I just wanted to go out and do my best. And I did not expect to be on that podium because to me doing my best every game is all that I could do. And if we happen to win, that's icing on the cake. So when

Kay and I went undefeated that day. It was amazing. We were in the championship division. That means we have to qualify to be there. And then we play people from all over the United States. We did not know where we were in the bracket, but we knew that if we just keep winning, eventually be in the gold bracket. And that's what we did. And we ended up playing the two ladies that...

that beat us one time in the qualifying. They were from Texas. So Texas took over and we won gold and silver. So that was amazing.

Speaker 2 (17:53.482)
Yeah, that's really, really cool. And especially if you're playing against people that have beat you before, there's a little bit of a mind game that goes on there too. So how fantastic, what a great win. And obviously, I think people don't give Texas pickleball enough credit. We come out and we crush it every time. mean, people who are living in California, yeah, you guys got the nice weather, but we've got the amount of people out here and we just, we win big in the pickleball matches.

if we work really hard. We're hard working Texans, right?

That's right. That's right. So I've got to know and our people need to know about this mission that you're on with Vans Awesome Pickable Outreach Program. Let's talk about that. Let's unpack that a little bit.

Well, first, think people will appreciate this. February of 2023, after a couple of months of playing pickleball, and you know, when somebody asked me, hey, you retired, let's go play pickleball. And I remember saying, what's that? Never even heard of pickleball. I've been in athletics all my life, never heard of pickleball. Went out there and played, and it took one game for me to play the game to realize this is pretty awesome. So I played it for a couple of months, went out to my first tournament at the Waco Regional Tennis and Fitness Facility.

And I played in all the division that I could sign up for, which is three mixed doubles, women's doubles and singles. Never even play singles in pickleball, but I'm going to try it. And I came out of that weekend. My record was 119. I won one game, lost 19 games. And as a coach, as a competitor, I came out there not frustrated, but I just, was excited because I figured if I started this low, I can only go up.

Speaker 2 (19:29.356)
That's right, that's right.

So after that, I was sitting one day and I was thinking, you know, if I love the game this much, I bet if I can pull a lot of people in to try the game out, I bet they would like it as much as I do. So I made two big goals for me. I was going to see how far I could grow my...

my game personally and to see how many people I can bring to pickleball just to expose them to the game and maybe they will enjoy the game as much as I do. So I started this outreach program and now I have to find a location to provide free pickleball to our community. And I went to Central United Methodist Church and spoke to Pastor Dave who was new at the church as well.

And I said, look, you here's my game plan. Would you allow me to use your gym for pickleball and I can bring people here. And he said, let's try it. And within two months, we opened the gym and brought in 300 plus people. And that December I went back to him and I said, okay, I think people are coming to play, but the paint tape, the painter's tape that I laid on the floor was coming apart. Can I paint the floor permanently? And he gave me the green thumbs and

and we had the court paint it permanently. Well, the gym, if you've been there, it is cement. So we have permanent tape on cement flowing and people are slipping and sliding. And I felt that whenever I played there, my knees ache a little bit after I finished playing. So I went back to him earlier this year and I said, look, what if we resurface the gym floor and make it into a...

Speaker 3 (21:13.294)
dedicated pickleball courts. And he said, let's do it. So I'm in the process of raising $30,000 so we can convert that gym into real pickleball courts so we can have the best of both worlds, real, true outdoor pickleball courts inside our gym, which is air conditioned. So I'm so excited about, you we're so close to making this happen.

that's so awesome. And I think, though, you know, the

People underestimate, obviously they saw Chip and Joanna working in Waco and they've taken over a big part of Waco and you've got the university there. So Waco is such a metropolitan area. It's bigger than what people think when they think Waco, because I think a lot of people, at least if you're my age, you remember the Koresh compound and that's what you know about Waco and it's just so much bigger now. And so that's going to be fantastic. I don't doubt you're going to hit your goal sooner rather than later. So with that, with Pickleball,

you know, we all know that are in the sport and if you're not getting into the sport, why not? That it's such a great community for outreach and connection. The people that you're playing with are are just, you know, salt of the earth people. And so I wonder, you know, for what you're doing there, do you see a lot of recovery, you know, as far as people, you know, bringing in maybe some trauma or outside, you know, messiness that they're bringing to the pickleball and it's kind of helping them?

Oh my gosh, I'm so glad you asked this question. Okay, it's been almost, it's been two years. This month would be two years that we've opened our doors and we've served over 1200 people already. And this is why I hear over and over people are coming in and they're saying, you know what, before coming here, I'm just sitting around the house doing absolutely nothing. I'm depressed. My husband just passed away and now, know, they're, they're

Speaker 3 (23:04.59)
out here playing pickleball. I have a young man that within a year and a half, he's lost over 200 pounds. And it wasn't just all pickleball. He had, you know, gastric bypass surgery, but again, he was not seeing any result. Came in and started playing pickleball. And now I wish I can show you, maybe I'll send you some pictures and he would not mind that at all.

before and after. day I took his picture because we did this little incentive program. We put everybody's picture on the board and then now he lost half of himself. And it's just fantastic. His demeanor, his wife told me, Dan, thank you so much for giving my husband back to me. And last year when we had our first year anniversary, he spoke in front of people and his wife pulled me to the side. She said, prior to this,

He would never, he's not the type of person that would stand up in front of people and speak. And he's able to do that. He's got his esteem, he's feeling better. It is just fantastic. All of the many stories, one right after the next, everyone I've spoken to have a story and has a great story. And several people have said that pickleball has been life-changing for them. And to be a part of that is just incredible.

It's such a healing sport, you know, and I don't think it gets enough credit for that, so I'm so thankful you're out there doing that. So let's do a little bit of our Dink or Destroy. I'm gonna give you two choices, and you can only pick one, okay? I'm gonna make it difficult, but you can only pick one of these, okay? Okay. All right, doubles or drills?

I know drill is better But I'm gonna say I love playing I love playing drill because I love it and No, not drill doubles because I love it. But drill is important

Speaker 2 (24:46.786)
Hahaha.

Speaker 2 (24:57.686)
Okay, I got it. Winning a medal or teaching someone their first dink? Yeah, yeah, that's great. So compression sleeves or ice baths?

my gosh, teaching somebody the first thing.

Speaker 3 (25:09.102)
Okay, I ice my body part just about every day. So ice bath would not be a problem for me.

Yeah, okay. Playing with your favorite partner or meeting new players every game? Meeting new players. Yeah. Okay. Golden retriever energy or bulldog determination? Yeah. Bring it on. I knew that. Bring it on. I knew that one. So tell people, how can they give and how can they get involved with the awesome Pickleball Outreach program? Where do they need to go? All the social media.

You play every game.

Speaker 3 (25:25.567)
bulldog determination.

Speaker 3 (25:37.57)
They can go to Vann's awesome pickleball journey and awesome pickleball Facebook page and be able to just contact us that way. I'll have information how people can see the different levels that people could give and all of whatever they're giving will be tax deductible. And right now I'm looking for one company that, okay, each of the court, we have a four by five big sign.

That's gonna be court one sponsored by two and three. So I need one more sponsor for $5,000 of tax deductible write-off to get the company logo or the family. can be a family, can be individual for court number three. So that would be, I mean, if we can get that, I think we would reach our goal, be very close to it. $100 all the way up to $5,000. That would be amazing if people can give and help us.

Pickleball is a healing sport. Pickleball is one of those sports that will just make you feel better about it and you'll have a community of people that put their arms around you. I know you're gonna find that other sponsor for sure. Go find Van at the awesome Pickleball Outreach Program. Get involved with that. Give some donations. Thanks so much, Van.

Thank you so much, Guy and everybody. Let's go out and play some pickleball.

Amen.

Speaker 2 (26:58.04)

Memories sayed.

All right, so I wanted to talk about something that I saw on Instagram where it was a tournament. It was a mixed doubles tournament and the lady hit the ball and then she fell, like flat out fell on her side and the person on the other side came and like just nailed the ball right next to her. And in the comment section, it was pretty mixed on.

He shouldn't have done that, she fell, you know, they should have stopped it. And he's like, well, it's a tournament, I'm here to win the point. So what do y'all think? Do you think that whatever goes, goes when it's on to winning the point? Or do you have some decor?

I don't think it's a lack of decorum, actually. think if I could get it if like she had a heart attack. Right. mean, if you fell, mean, hell, I fell. Like, it's like...

Speaker 1 (28:08.27)
What do think of it?

Speaker 2 (28:14.39)
the point.

Speaker 1 (28:19.372)
Did the game keep going when you fell?

in a pause or something, we were resetting or we were-

fall just because we without anything going. Like, no, I missed the point, but I think, I mean, yeah, I would do it.

Yeah, so for me, I'm the kind of person who's like, I'm glad I got it over the net. So if it happens while you're falling backwards or you fell down, I'm still, I don't care because I got it over the net. But I'm not trying to hit you.

But also it's like, no, I wouldn't be trying to hit somebody, but the game moves fast. So he probably, I mean, if she hit it and fell, he's responding. So by the time he responds.

Speaker 1 (28:59.704)
Well, like, he hit it after she fell, and then she got up and she was mad. Like, she stormed off and he's like, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, and she's saying curse words, and she was visibly upset that he got that point.

I don't think so.

That's rule. mean, I think gameplay continues, Yeah. So, I mean, well. mean, maybe... I mean, get out of your feelings. I get it. You're embarrassed.

I

Speaker 4 (29:24.992)
It's like, well done. Like, just like a net court. It's like, you get the point. So well structured. He was paying attention. He knew she was down. Put it over where she was and not to her partner that was standing up. That's strategy. know, that's strategy. So I'm a dink for it. It's like.

Now if you smash it into her.

If he was trying to like hit her on purpose, but if he just put it over in her square because that's where it was the best. Then I'm, I'm a dink.

Strategy 1

Yeah, I'm a dink on this one. I'm all about strategy. I'm going to put the shot where you can't get it. Better for me if you're laying down on your back. Right. I can put it in a lot of different places then. You opened up half a court for me at that point. Yeah. Yeah, I'm not going to smash it at you and body bag you and all that. I mean, when I get better, maybe I'll put it near you.

Speaker 1 (30:14.232)
But the fact that

fact that when he was done he was like you know I'm sorry like but I mean

immediately apologizes like I'm so sorry I'm so sorry and she wanted

thing to do with it. I mean that that also can kind of tell you that he was just kind of responding and it's like it's not like he had time to probably calculate she went down hold on let me stop the game and if he would have stopped the game then maybe that point would have been theirs. Valid. You know because I mean I don't know the rules like that but if he would have stopped it it would have been like no you can't stop the game. There so I mean.

It would have been theirs. I mean, depending on who's.

Speaker 1 (30:46.53)
I mean if you're in a tournament, literally, and if it's duper rated, then they say every point counts.

Yeah, dink-dinkaroo for me.

Was she a high calorie woman?

No.

Okay, well, I mean, that could be something too. I mean, there is lot of embarrassment in those situations.

Speaker 4 (31:03.692)
Yeah, I mean, I was highly embarrassed when I did my fucking tumble town.

It's embarrassing.

Speaker 1 (31:08.524)
Well, I wish I would have seen it. Yeah.

I did get a compliment from the person who did see it. But still, was like, well damn, like... So, but yeah, I'm a dink.

Yeah, yeah, she's highly complimentary.

Speaker 1 (31:21.618)
I think especially in a tournament, mean, you fall, fall. You have to, it's on you, because she fell and she just kind of laid there. Like, get up. You have to have that kind of response. You know you're in a game. You know the ball's coming back at you.

it up. Because I've seen ones where people do fall, but they're up fast.

No, she just kind of laid there, like.

hey, it's no- I'm out.

What would she have said if she hit the ball and it went over, like from her back? She would have been like, yeah, okay. Then she would have been okay then.

Speaker 4 (31:47.99)
It's not the time to sleep, so get up.

Right, agree.

I'm a dink. We're all dinks on that. Dink! Tell us what you think. Get up in the comment section. Wherever you can find us, wherever you do find us, go find us. Why wouldn't you find us?

Speaker 4 (32:02.914)
You can use

Can you

Hello, Americans. Stand by for news. That was my best Paul Hart. I've got a little bit of NY, now you know the rest of the story. Now I got a little bit of NYCU, the news you can use around the water cooler at your office, maybe tomorrow. They still have water coolers, okay? People still, get in our comments. Tell us if you have a water cooler at work. I know you do Harmony out there. 1995 at the University of Montana.

That was my best.

Speaker 2 (32:35.584)
Students wake up one morning and there's a carved pumpkin perfectly balanced on top of the main hall spire way up 100 feet in the air on the narrow little perch. Nobody saw anything, nobody confessed, it became a campus legend. Fast forward to 30 years later this October, history repeats itself. Another pumpkin appears in the exact same spot. Security cameras? Nope, nothing useful on them. So they got theories.

Is it the original prankster came back for the 30th anniversary? New students playing tribute to the legend? Inside job maintenance worker with roof access? Or drone technology dropping that pumpkin up there? Nope, not up there.

but there's no cameras?

or just wasn't seen on the cameras.

Nothing helpful on the cameras is what it said. So it's a ghost. It could, who knows? The university decided to leave it up there as long as safely possible. We all know pumpkins last about three days. If they're carved and pierced, because honestly it's become this wholesome mystery that brings everyone together. Not much going on up there in Montana. Yeah. So this probably did bring the whole town. Yeah. Yeah. This is big news up there in Montana.

Speaker 4 (33:34.58)
Yeah, this is probably like headline news

Other than Mudman Burgers, if you're up there and you haven't tried Mudman Burgers, you need to go get one. Shout out Mudman. It's such a good burger. I had one when I was up there. I was teaching a class or something up there and someone, you gotta go try this. So I did. And essentially it's a burger with chili on it, but it was really good. It's actually pretty up there. It's nice. It's desolate. It's slow. I mean, not the people, not the people. Maybe some of who knows.

random.

Speaker 4 (33:54.038)
I haven't been to Montana.

Speaker 1 (34:02.946)
I have a venom on me.

So that's interesting, like this.

Yeah, so 30 years ago as goes up in the spire, 100 feet up in the air.

And it hasn't been up there since? I think it's a ghost.

Yeah, who knows yeah, why is he waiting 30 years though now we gotta win to wait another

Speaker 1 (34:20.565)
Or maybe the person who originally put it up there passed away and now he's coming back to

Maybe it's like Sleepy Hollow's head. Ooh.

Iqabod. The horseman. No, Iqabod was not the horseman. Keep saying it doesn't make him the horseman.

a bod crane.

Ikebad. I just like that. I'm just saying sleepy.

Speaker 2 (34:38.602)
Okay, let's name our next kid Ichabod.

God, no more kids.

And now you know the rest of the story. Lord.
