I wanted to discuss unforced errors. So think about everything pretty much that you guys do. Yes. Yes. Overhead smash right into the net. Easy dink into the net. Things that people blame the wind for and look at their paddle like, must be the paddle.

This is Big Dink Energy, the pickleball podcast that's half insight, half nonsense, and all entertainment. If you love pickleball, don't take yourself too seriously and think a little trash talk makes the game better. Welcome home. This is the place where life and pickleball intersect. We celebrate the chaos, call out the nonsense, and put the fun back in dysfunction. You're either in or you're out. And if you're still listening, you're in. So let's go.

Big Dink Energy starts now. yes, Big Dink Energy. Get it in your ear holes right now. We are the official podcast at Pickleball. We can say that because nobody else is saying that. So just take it for what it is. We're in our kitchen talk mode. This is like you sitting down with us at our kitchen counter. And so gather with us and go tell us on the Instagram and go tell us on bdepodcast.com if something resonated with you. So what you got?

So a while ago, we all went to this Christian comedy, marriage show slash workshop thing. And during one of the parts, we were asked to write down something that your spouse does that annoys you. And mine is sitting right next to me and his breathing was just driving me nuts. Like it just, was so loud and I'm, why are you breathing like that? Just breathe normally.

It was awesome to watch because we were sitting across from you and the speaker said, write down something about your spouse that just drives you crazy or something. You were, I think before the words were out of his mouth, you were writing like a, you had a notebook filled.

Speaker 4 (01:43.021)
pure exist.

Speaker 3 (01:56.938)
it got me thinking, what are totally normal things that people do that give you instant rage? What would that be?

Daily, Daily

Yeah. So for me, I've got one, I've got one automatically blocking the aisle in the store. yeah. Standing there on your phone, blocking the aisle. Listen, I want to get my hot sauce. I want to get my cool, my ranch dressing, whatever I'm doing. get off your phone. Okay. Now the only exception to that is if you're a man and you're on and you're unattended in the store, you're by yourself. I know exactly what you're doing. You're doing the same thing I do.

You're looking at the list or the text that came in from your wife that says, please get this. That's, that's right. So, you know, I'm confirming, I'm making sure I get all the things I've already sat in the car long enough, looking at the list and figuring out tactically how I'm going to get through the store. So I get it. I get it. If you're a dude and you're pulled over to the side, got you, man. I'm moving on. I'll come back if I need to. I don't want to disturb it. Cause I want you to get all the things in your car. Just say you want me to get all the things in my car so you can be a superhero at home.

Trying to make sure you get the right one

Speaker 4 (03:02.744)
So I would say one of the things that I don't like is when I see people save the cardboard box that things come in.

What? This is a direct attack.

I feel like is there gonna be like a cardboard famine?

So when you walk in your house and you see a cardboard box immediately you're like

We bought the printer 14 years ago. Why do we have the box? What if I? This is not about just you. I'm just saying I just don't like it I had boxes from 18 generations ago. Yeah, I don't

Speaker 1 (03:26.094)
I wanna return it.

Speaker 1 (03:30.126)
Okay, it's me and

Speaker 1 (03:34.914)
What if I want to return it or what if I want to put it on marketplace for some reason? It's I can say original box.

I don't, how often have you done that?

Listen, it's not about that. It's about that I could and I have the ability to do it.

I do. One thing that really instantly will set me off is when I hear people chewing. I cannot stand the sound of listening to people chew. I am very loud chewer. Yes. Especially if your mouth is open.

Nobody likes masticating in public that loud. Public. Do not masticate in public.

Speaker 1 (04:05.762)
you should not be a ticket

That's an absolute no-no. But if somebody comes up behind me and they're eating a bag of chips or eating something and I can hear it, it will sh-tly just make me tense up and cringe and I'm just like, you've got to stop. I can't handle it. I just cannot handle that sound. It will instantly set me off.

Got your mouth

Speaker 1 (04:25.698)
Yeah, there's a syndrome for that. can't remember what it's called, but yeah, it's one of those noise triggers you kind of things. And that's one of those noises. For me, another one, and this is a big one. know you guys are going to resonate with this too, talking on your speakerphone in public. Yes.

We were just talking.

now I know your cousin's drama, thanks. Yeah.

It's just so rude. is so Or your music, and you've got your videos up. Anything you're doing with your cellphone in public that you don't have headphones on. It's annoying. Number one, you couldn't grab them at the gas station counter when you were getting your cools.

And when people let their kids watch their iPad, like, really loud.

Speaker 3 (05:03.246)
volume my god

I mean, but when people are on speakerphone, like I've been in an aisle with somebody on their speakerphone and then I'm kind of like wanting to follow them because I'm like, now I'm invested. I know T.V. Nisha is being cheated on and now we're in the bread aisle and I'm like, what's going on?

Now you need to know the truth.

Speaker 1 (05:21.932)
Yeah, I mean, that's so when I travel, that's one of the big ones. People in airports, they just, I don't know. Could you not afford a pair of headphones? Like I almost want to grab a bunch on the plane and hand them out. But then now phones don't have things that plug them into in the bottom. Everything's Bluetooth. Just take it off a speakerphone. mean, stop being lazy and sharing your drama with everybody.

I don't like that.

Speaker 3 (05:37.688)
to your ear, it's not that difficult.

Speaker 4 (05:44.61)
Back to that, like, I also think, I don't like when people say, you look tired. I don't like that. You didn't need to say that. Like, people who are tired or aren't wearing makeup that day or whatever, they know.

Yeah.

obviously tired, they're obviously exhausted, you don't need to add to their shit that they

You didn't see my kids? Duh, I'm frickin' tired. You didn't see my gray hair? I'm tired of you.

And when people get like put the cart like halfway to the corral, I'm like, you're almost there. Like just put it away. Right. I don't like, well, I don't like when people don't put it away to begin with, but then like on the side, like that's even worse. I'm like two more feet.

Speaker 1 (06:26.03)
One of the other ones for me, because we have a teenage boy in our house, is leaving one sip or one drop or one morsel of something and say, well, I didn't eat it all. I didn't drink it all.

I cannot stand.

Three chips in the bag. Yeah.

Yeah, I'm glad we saved those crumbs so I can just pour them on my plate. Yeah, I came in the pantry for crumbs. I'm so thankful you left those in there for me. And another one, and I see this all day long, especially in my job, is not using turn signals. That's a personal one for me. That causes a little bit of road rage for me.

or even an imp

Speaker 3 (07:05.322)
My road rage one is when you're driving down the road and the speed limit is 75. To me, you should be going 81. But when I pull...

Please don't do that. We have prima facie speeds in Texas.

When I'm driving and then all of a sudden this car appears and then I have to slow all the way down and they're going 55 in a 75. No, I cannot. I have to get to work. We got places to go. I got to get going. I wonder if... handle that.

Have you thought of maybe leaving earlier?

It's not my problem if people don't know how to drive. Like you should not be going 55 in a 75. One, it's not safe. And two, people have places to go. Yeah, you had to sing, didn't you? Thank

Speaker 1 (07:43.096)
dry.

Speaker 1 (07:47.15)
Thanks, Sammy Hager.

Just pull that back in. How about the, I'll circle back.

In when people do it in person. Yeah, no

Just tell me you're not gonna do it. You're not calling me back or you're just I hate that term so much

Yes, I'll go back on that.

Speaker 1 (08:01.004)
What about making a sandwich and leaving the knife on the edge of the counter, not putting it in the sink? That's a signal that I may have another sandwich, right? So, but I mean, when I see our son do it though, it drives me nuts. We have more knives.

Why?

Speaker 4 (08:16.91)
That's the other thing is like doing something 98%. Like put the shoes in the bin. Put the knife in the sink. Like you're 98 % there just.

Yeah, like a great example. We were digging out the flagpole in the front yard, getting it ready for spring. Had all my tools out there and I had also in the tools was a level, a giant level, which is more expensive than all the tools that were out there. I asked them to go pick up the tools and put them out back and put them away. And I go out there the next day and the level is just laying. He took all the heads. All the tools.

tools. What's the level? 98%.

I don't think yeah, I think that's the loophole. He will find a loophole. Yeah. Yeah, it wasn't a tool You told me put the tools away like like the 98 %

98%. It drives me nuts. the socks, like, just put the socks in the laundry basket.

Speaker 1 (09:11.17)
Yeah, wherever you took them off is not where they stay. They're not going to magically walk across the house.

Are you talking to yourself?

When I walk into the living room and I see a pair of socks on the living room floor, it drives me nuts.

What I'm saying 98 %

okay. Here's another one that just infuriates me. You're in a conversation texting with somebody and then they all of a sudden are gone. You're waiting for a text back and it happens with you all the time. I'm texting with you and because I know, because I think you just took your phone on the last text and you threw it as far away from you as possible. And we're like, I'm done.

Speaker 4 (09:38.925)
I'm doing it.

Speaker 3 (09:47.404)
Or when somebody calls you and you call them right back and they don't answer the phone. It's like, where did you disappear to in the point five seconds that I called you right back on?

What's your, you don't want a phone call anyhow. talked about that on our podcast. You, you know.

Wow, we have a lot of things that really... Y'all better watch out!

The good thing we're doing a podcast, this is our therapy.

You might need a rage room. It's fine.

Speaker 1 (10:11.244)
All right. Tell us what you think. Go to bdepodcast.com. can leave us a voicemail if you're one of those types of people, or you can get on the Instagram, find us over there at BDE Podcast and tell us what you think. What is the rage things that you got going on in your life? What's the thing that just drives you crazy as soon as someone does it?

Speaker 1 (10:31.458)
Just a tip, quick pickleball wisdom in and out before you know it.

Alright, so if you're standing straight up, you're already losing. Bend your knees, get low, and look like you actually might move because pickleball is not a statue competition.

tip.

Speaker 1 (10:50.343)
It's time for Pickle Pals!

Speaker 1 (10:56.918)
Our Pickle People, our Pickle Places, our Pickle Pals is one of my favorite segments. You all know that. I say that every time and it is actually true because I get to meet people from around the country and you get to meet people and courts from around the country. So when you're traveling and when you're out there and you're looking for a place to go play, we like to illustrate those for you. So I'm here today with Tim, my buddy from The Put-Away in Maryland. Welcome to the show, to the Big Dink Energy podcast. So happy to have you here.

Thanks for having me. Appreciate you having me on.

Yeah, let's, okay, I gotta get into the, how'd you come to pickleball?

this was back in 2022, I took some time off and finally had time on my hands. So I started playing pickleball and that's where this endeavor really started is I saw the interest and I saw the kind of unique characteristics of the sport. you started seeing a lot more headlines about investments in the space. the first time I played, I was instantly hooked. And at least at the, at the facility, we talk about all the time, just the very interesting aspects of the game.

think it's one of those things that it hooks you, especially if you have any kind of competitive spirit, because it seems like such a simple game that is just so hard to execute. And I think no matter who you play, it's always fun. think there's, we were talking about it the other day, there's like a novelty to it. It actually reminds me a lot of playing video games where you can play the same map with the same people 10,000 times and it's still fun. I could play with the same group of three people.

Speaker 2 (12:27.404)
Same game, same court, and it's a different game every single time.

I heard a clip from I think, Chelsea Handler, female comedian the other day and she was talking about, know, pickleball suck was the whole kind of overarching. And I thought, well, you just haven't played pickleball. That's what that is. You've never experienced it. You you're coming from a perspective of you've never been on a court because I don't know how you can get on a court and swing that paddle around and hit the wiffle ball, so to speak, and think, now this sucks. No.

there's so many benefits to it, right? There's the health benefits, the endorphins, everything that's going on with it. You're like, okay, now I need to go find $150 of spare cash and go buy a better paddle. And then all this stuff just starts snowballing from there. If you do have disposable income and an addictive personality, do not try Pickleball. I will just tell you that. So I look at the put away, you know, doing our research for the show, obviously, I mean, acoustic paneling.

court-specific lighting, personal playing experiences, all the things you want for pickleball. Now that just didn't happen overnight, right? Did you consult with pros or how did that all come about? Because it's a phenomenal facility.

Thank you. I really appreciate you saying that. think our mindset coming out of the gate was we wanted to create something special and something that could withstand the growth of the industry. So we knew there was going to be competition coming in eventually, and we wanted to make sure that we stood out and we could weather any kind of competitive storm. So thankfully, I have an awesome group of investors. They're all avid players, and I was able to really lean on them. A lot of them had more experience playing and

Speaker 2 (14:12.002)
had a lot more experience playing at other facilities. I was able to lean on them to really think about the design of the facility and what to invest our money in. And, you know, those were things like the acoustic paneling, court-specific lighting, finished spaces. So we dry-walled in the entire facility, put carpet throughout in the non-playing surfaces. We have nice bathrooms. We wanted it to be a place that people were like, wow, this is...

This is a beautiful facility I would love to play here.

Yeah, I think in the design of it, you guys obviously do a little future-proofing, but I bet you you're probably bursting at the seams right now. And probably, if I'm guessing, estimating, you guys are already looking for next location, stuff like that. Because one of the things that really I loved about it was that you upgraded seating just for people who aren't playing. You're sitting on the fringe or you're taking a knee, so to speak, after a game. It's just...

The whole experience, right? Like we talked about the community, but it's also the whole culture you're building right there. It's pickleball, you know, starts, you got a lot of basketball courts that are repainted, but when you come into the put away, it's like, okay, this is my community. This is where I go when I'm not doing the thing that allows me to play pickleball, right? And so it does feel like that second home almost. looks, that's what it looks like.

Yeah, we have, you know, I have to give a big shout to our staff. We have been able to create that community feel where people come there, not just to play pickleball, but to socialize and see their friends. It's, we've really done a good job at creating that kind of space. And that's something we're really fortunate to be in.

Speaker 1 (15:53.048)
So for the put away, mean, you've got some plans. You've got the, I know you have a one year calendar, three year, five year. What are you looking for? What's new? What's exciting? What's coming on your, you know, what are you foreseeing as far as the growth for the put away?

You know, we're starting to look at other opportunities in different markets. I think for us, it really has to have, there's a strict criteria that we want to see from another facility. I certainly don't want to open another location to drag down this one and just be at a net break even. That doesn't make a lot of sense. So I think it's us, it's exploring other markets for second locations or different partnerships, and then also optimizing what we have going on.

at the put away. mean, even though we're a year and a half into it, we're still trying to figure out what works, what doesn't work. We're always trying to do something new with the programming. We're not just throwing up a bunch of open plays, know, we're incorporating a lot of our staff in the playing with our members and trying to create different kinds of competitive events. think one of the biggest things that we're going to do moving in the 2026 is we're going to start posting our own tournaments instead of having these big, big

you know, multi-day huge tournaments. I at least what we're, what we're seeing in the market is people are getting kind of tired of spending $75 spending three to maybe five hours and playing five or six games and waiting 30 minutes or 45 minutes in between games. So I think there's a real opportunity to, to create that competitive atmosphere, but respect people's time and money a little bit more. So I think,

Definitely in 2026, we're going to start running and hosting our own tournaments. They'll probably be a little bit smaller scale than some of these multi-day 300 people tournaments, but I think it'll deliver a better, much, much better value to our players and our members. And we're starting to do that now.

Speaker 1 (17:51.168)
Yeah, because there's a ton of rec players out there, right? And you know, I noticed with some of the tournaments, a rec player, guy like me gets into a tournament, I'm out within the first round, right? Because there's no plan for that. How do you keep me engaged then the rest of the day? Maybe I want to watch the guy who see who wins. Maybe I'm going to hang around for your food court or your food trucks. But you you got to capture that. Plus you got to bring something for the six, seven, eight, nines.

that are out there too. And I see your calendar, when I look at your calendar and your website, theputaway.com, right? Yeah. Your calendar is always full. It's always coaching available from everyone from beginner starting, just picked up a paddle all the way to those, you know, those higher duper scores. And I love it because there's something there for everybody in this community. And that's really, you know, that's the word that keeps coming to the top when we talk about pickle balls, community, community, community.

Play put away pickleball.com.

Speaker 1 (18:43.542)
So you guys, you do a phenomenal job with that. I just wanted to make sure I pointed that out for you guys.

Thank thank you. You're never going to be able to please everyone, but I think we've done a pretty good job at creating something for every skill level. The player progression is a huge piece for us because I think we've seen in our model, our player base evolve over time. When we first opened, was initially all higher level, what we call legacy players that have been playing outside.

that made up 90 % of our membership base. And now that's probably down to like 30 % and 70 % are your mid-level players that started with us or new players that started with us at the beginning and have grown and gotten better over time and are now three fives, four ohs, three two fives. And that's the core of our base.

Yep. So, okay, we've got the put away. That's where I'm coming to play. Let's talk about the city just a little bit. When I come to the put away, I'm done and I'm hungry now. Where am I going? And what am I going to get when I'm in the area? What is the must haves?

I think if you're in Maryland, obviously you got to try crabs and crab cakes. Unfortunately, live along the, um, the Southern river. So there are some places not that close to us, but there are plenty of places to get really good seafood and really good crabs. But if you want to grab something directly after playing at our facility, I got to throw a shout out to our sponsor, the big bean. They just opened up their third location, which is a stone's throw from our facility. have awesome coffee. Awesome.

Speaker 2 (20:24.672)
Sandwiches, salads, pastries, they do smoothies. And my personal favorite there is they have a Mexican mocha and I always get my coffee cold. So it's a Mexican mocha cold brew. it's amazing. It has a little bit cinnamon, has a little bit of chocolate. Really, really good.

Yeah, yeah. Is that walking distance?

Not quite walking distance. We live off of kind of a back road. It's easily accessible to 97, but not walking distance. We're definitely more in the suburbs than a big city.

chances of having them buy a food truck and bring it to your parking lot.

You know, we've done food trucks a couple of times for our big tournaments and it's never, it's never really panned out the way that they want to see from a sales standpoint. think what we see from our members is a lot of people just, they want to play and they want to socialize. They don't necessarily want a place to eat grilled chicken or fried chicken or get, you know, a big, a big meal like that, or even, even drink to that, to that point.

Speaker 1 (21:23.447)
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:28.27)
Well, I mean, you know, see a lot of these franchise pickleball places popping up, no knock on them. I mean, they got a good model too, but I think it may make the play better or at least more fun for the playback on the CCTV cameras. If you do add a little drinks in ahead of the game, right? I know I play a ton better.

At least you think so.

Yeah, that's right. That's right. The camera may say different, but in my mind, I'm up to a 3.5 at that point.

Now we have a great Friday crowd. We have a BYOB and it's usually 30 to 42 people and they all, we allow BYOB and they all have a lot of fun.

One question I ask every guest when we have on, this is always fun for me, is what is, okay, you're showing up to a match, you're showing up to the tournament next year, and you get a chance to get some walk-on music like a boxer. What's your song you go with?

Speaker 2 (22:23.392)
I think I'm going to go with a right above it. It's a little Wayne and Drake song. Definitely gets the blood flowing. Yeah.

Yeah, okay. All right. All right. I thought you were going to go with many men or something like that, but all right. All right. I love it. Tim from the put away in Maryland, go see them, go find them. If you're traveling this summer with the family, why wouldn't you go to Maryland number one and then go see Tim at the put away, get a game in. They got open courts. They got everything going on that you need there and you can go afterwards and get some crab, go to Annapolis and do all that. So Tim.

Thank you so much. Let's do all the social media shout outs so everybody can find you.

Yeah, sure. So we're on Instagram, LinkedIn, and our website. If you just search for Play, Put Away Pickleball, you'll find us, whether it's dot com or through Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn.

Yeah, you guys are nailing it on the social media. So please go find Tim with the put away. Tim, thank you so much for being on the Big Dink Energy podcast. We love it. When I get up in that neck of the woods, you know, I'm going to shout out to you and see what's going on and come on by.

Speaker 2 (23:28.76)
Yeah, awesome. We'd love to have you. Thank you for the opportunity.

Man, it's been my pleasure. Thanks so much. Ladies, can I talk to you about the Pickle Hood and men? Can we talk about the Pickle Hood for a second? I absolutely love Trisha and her crew over there, what they're doing with the Pickle Hood. Finally bringing some fit to Pickleball.

I feel like I'm hair club for men. Like I'm not only the president, I'm also a client. Like she's not only our sponsor, like I love her stuff.

Yeah, it's super cute.

Yeah, yeah. And it's not like 100 % cotton gonna shrink up on you. It's really good material. I love the material and the designs. I mean, it's stuff I would wear and I, you know, I'm just going to Goodwill for most of my clothes anyhow, Daddy ate it up.

Speaker 4 (24:07.884)
Not anymore, Dink Daddy. Yeah, I'm Dink. That's what I used to call you. And then it was like, it's on a shirt too. Well, a pack.

That's why you go with pickleball because there's paddles that are already involved. Yes.

They are.

And I like that they have a little something for everybody, so even kids. So they have this onesie that I really, really think is super cute and it says, daddy tapped that. And it's got two paddles tapping each other. that's awesome.

Thank

Speaker 4 (24:32.746)
Like super cute creative ideas that aren't just, you know, the stupid stuff that people put on shirts nowadays. I mean, these are creative, fun. Not everyone's going to have them out there. She's constantly updating.

And she's a player. I think that's the most important thing. She's not just designing designs to be designing like there's a market for pickleball gear. She's a player. She gets it. And that's how the pickle hood was born. It was born out of the need to have a shirt at a tournament. And then everybody wanted that shirt and then just blew up from there. So go over to the picklehood.com, picklehood.com to get all the gear. Use code bigdinkenergy20 to get 20 % off and quit losing points in style. Bigdinkenergy20 over the picklehood.com 20 % off.

do it at the end of the podcast. Or if you're driving, just wait until you pull over.

Speaker 1 (25:24.654)
Dink or destroy something we say either yes, we're going to dink it, we're going to send it over the net. It's going to be a thumbs up for us, or it's going to be a no, we're going to destroy it. Not for us, not sending it over the net. So prison pickleball leagues. These are prisons that are starting pickleball leagues, rehab through dinks, or is it just weird?

dink it out instead of shank it out.

I like that, yeah.

I really don't have an opinion on this. I think that it's great that they're getting exercise, but I mean, they in a prison, you know, they have weights and they're working out with weights. It's not like, I guess they could knock each other out with a paddle, but.

Yeah, I'm wondering what the rage looks like. if you call a shot out and the other guy on the other side, he has a cup of teardrops on his eyeball, doesn't think that it was out. I wonder what that looks like.

Speaker 4 (26:09.912)
I think I've met rec players who are more cutthroat than inmates, so...

That's a point.

Yeah, I think I like it. I like the idea of learning the sport and getting physical therapy from it. There's some therapy I feel from from pickleball Maybe it's learning to communicate better. Maybe that was part of your problem while you into prison in the first place You didn't have great communication skills. So you're how to communicate

I'm just worried they're gonna come out and be way better than us, because they have so much time to play.

Listen, eight year old kids are way better than us, or at least eight year old kids are better than me. But here's the thing that I think is going to be born out of this and it's going to be awesome. Instead of teardrops, we're going to start seeing paddles in the corner of people's eyes and we're going to have to wonder, did you kill someone on the court or did you kill someone in real

Speaker 4 (26:56.686)
sounds like a great story. That's extreme. I'm a dink.

Yeah, I'm a ding-to.

I mean they play soccer and football, why not? Yeah.

Yeah, I think I'm a dink as well because if it is something that is keeping you physically active, again, I do think there's a huge therapy side to pickleball. So I think that is giving you coping skills and think it's giving you a lot of life skills. So yeah, I'm a dink too.

Do they have, like you said that they were leagues, so do they have like tournaments?

Speaker 1 (27:25.378)
Yeah, would guess. Why not? I don't know. If I ever get into prison and we have pickleball, you guys come visit.

Give us the details.

Like I said, there's some public courts that they may as

They may, yeah, they're probably outside of a prison. They're a prison adjacent towards. Tell us what you think. Digger Destroy on pickleball being played in prison. Go over to bdepodcast.com. You can leave us a voicemail over there. Why would you, unless you're old like me? And you can get on the Instagram and leave us a thought over there as well.

News you can use.

you may be able to bring to the water cooler next time you're standing around talking with your friends. Steph, you had something. No?

So I wanted to discuss unforced errors in pickleball. So if you don't know what an unforced error is, it's when you mess up a shot without any pressure from your opponent. So think about everything pretty much that you guys do. Yes, yes. Overhead smash right into the net. Easy dink into the net. Right. Anything that you pretty much did on your own that caused yourself an error. like...

cutting your own bangs. Like you did that to yourself and now you look like that. So things that people blame the wind for and look at their paddle like, must be the paddle.

Valid.

Speaker 3 (28:48.878)
I need to buy a new paddle.

The cigar smoke got in my eye. Sir, you should not be smoking a cigar in here.

That's a lot of your problem. Don't smoke on the courts. I know that my personal unenforced error is when I just smash it and it just, it doesn't need to be that hard, but sometimes again, with the therapy, it feels so good.

Where else are you going to smoke?

Speaker 3 (29:08.322)
You just need it. it.

Yeah, when you see that lob right there and it's perfect and you just want to send it.

And at that point, don't even care about the score. just want to hit it.

Just nasty Nelson it right back to him. So I had some news you can use and I thought this was pretty unique and pretty interesting. There was a team of four pickleball enthusiasts that broke a Guinness world record in Texas, the United States of Texas, very humble people out here by playing 36 consecutive hours of matches. They call themselves the Pickle Breakers took on the record for the longest marathon playing pickleball at Pickler universe in Carrollton. That's up North of Texas.

and ended their attempt at 36 hours. I should really research why they didn't go 37. The current record is held by a foursome who played for 34 hours, five minutes and 55 seconds. Ooh, look at you getting down to the seconds. And that was in Britain. It was probably all metric anyhow. So yeah, evidence from the latest attempt must still be reviewed and approved by the record keeper organization. But the Pickle Breakers are Chong Kim, Jaret Petras. Hope I'm not getting that wrong. If you guys are out there and want to come on the show, please let us know.

Speaker 1 (30:15.574)
Laura Mala and Geneva Olsen.

do not have to pee. Yeah.

What are you talking about? Shoot, we should break it. I'll wear some diapers. No, I'm wearing diapers right now

there's like rules where they get so much time to go to the bathroom and stuff.

Maybe, I don't know. I don't know. Maybe we need to look into that. they started playing at 6 a.m. local on a Saturday. Too early for me, because you got to be there at five, I'm sure, for something like this. Attempt raised over $18,000 for Taylor's Gift Foundation, a charity supporting organ donation and providing aid to families who decide to donate the organs of their loved ones. So for a good cause as well. I love it. And I love that it's in Texas. We have the record now, Britton, come get it.

Speaker 4 (31:01.644)
not doing it.

No, I'm not doing it either. No. I don't have that kind of energy. I'm just way too tired.

Oh yeah, how am I gonna get my nap in if I'm playing for 36 hours? There's two naps in there.

You don't get a nap. Yeah. No nap. No potty breaks.

I narcolepsy, I'll take it either way.

Speaker 4 (31:18.668)
That's unforced error for sure. He's asleep.

he passed out.
